About
The Full Story
Threads That Connect began in 2021 through our founder Tara's love for art in the home. Whilst living in Saudi Arabia, Tara was fell in love with the artistry behind handmade rugs from the Middle East and recognised how important it was to help people to understand rug symbols, colours and design when choosing a rug. People often buy art for their walls based on colour, size but also a good understanding of the content of the artwork. Tara recognised the need for people to give as much attention to detail on rugs. Art for the floor which we have so much contact and interaction. She recognised that they could not only make a space more beautiful but also more functional and useful for helping us take care of ourselves and our well being. Stories are woven into rugs and we can use these stories to tell our own and help shape how we want to live.
Our Mission
Threads That Connect isn't just selling a product, we are promoting a lifestyle. Our mission is to enrich the lives of our customers by offering rugs that support their lifestyle needs and add beauty to their home. At Threads That Connect, we firmly believe that our small vintage rugs are more than just a way to tie a room together. They're like pieces of magic that can make you sing and your floors dance. Our kilims are made of a flat-weave wool that can withstand daily use, so you can meditate, do yoga, or even have a dance party on them. We're passionate about helping you understand the story behind each rug and the meaning of symbols woven into them, so you can elevate your space and live your best life. We find all of these gorgeous kilims in the Middle East and they are all handmade and 100% wool. Trust us, your floors and soul will thank you for choosing us!
